Note: When you use DDSR, IXFP/SnapShot for VSE/ESA always prompts the operator before executing the desired function, unless the NOPROMPT keyword is selectedÐin which case, the function will execute without an operator prompt.

B.2.4 Using DDSR to Delete the Free Space on an RVA

Figure 31 on page 52 shows the result of using DDSR to release the space occupied by expired files in a subsystem. Both the space occupied by the data and the VTOC entry are released. (There are two occurrences of TEST.DATA.1 because device 80E was snapped to 80F.) Note that the capacity stored decreases while the capacity unused increases.
