Troubleshooting guide

Before requesting service, make the below checks. If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if the remedies indicated in the chart do not solve the problem, contact below.

Power

No power.

The unit is automatically switched to the standby mode.

³Insert the AC power supply cord securely into the household AC outlet. 8

³To conserve power, the unit automatically switches to the standby mode after approx. 30 minutes elapse in the stop mode (Auto standby). Turn the power back to ON.

Operation

No response when buttons	³Some operations may be prohibited by the disc.

	Reset procedure:
	Press [POWER] to switch the unit to the standby mode and then back to ON.
	Alternatively, press [POWER] to switch the unit to the standby mode, disconnect the AC power

³Sound will only come from the 2 front speakers if Virtual Surround Sound (V.S.S.) is on. Turn Virtual Surround Sound (V.S.S.) off if you are using three or more speakers. >

³If you have connected this unit to other equipment through the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal, ensure you have selected the correct settings for “Dolby Digital” and “DTS Digital Surround” in

the SET UP screen’s Audio menu. I
