The initial setting of RF Channel is 60CH.

You can select the RF OUT CHANNEL for watching the VCR by TV channel.

1Press MENU on the remote control.

Result: The programming menu is displayed.

2Press the or buttons to select installation.

Result: The installation menu is displayed.

3Press the or buttons to select MANUAL SET UP.

Result: The MANUAL SET UP menu is displayed.

4Press the button until the cursor is placed in front of RF OUT CHANNEL.

5Press the or buttons to change the RF OUT CHANNEL.

Result: The RF OUT CH is changed.

Your VCR RF out channel may need to be changed if the pictures suffer from interference or your TV can not find the pictures.

You can connect your VCR to the TV using the RCA or Scart cable if the appropriate input is available on the TV for better quality sound and picture.

Your VCR contains a built-in tuner used to receive television broadcasts. It can also receive cable television broadcasts.

You must preset the stations received through the tuner. This can be done:

automatically ; or

manually (see page 20).

1Press MENU on the remote control.

Result: The programming menu is displayed.

2Press the corresponding or buttons, until the cursor is placed in front of the INSTALLATION option.

3Press the button to select this option.

Result: The INSTALLATION menu is displayed.

4Press the corresponding or buttons, until the cursor is placed in front of the AUTO SET UP option.

5Press the button to select AUTO SET UP.

6Press OK to start the auto scanning.

Result: The AUTO indication flashes on the VCR display.

The first frequency band is scanned and the first station found is displayed and stored.

The VCR then searches for the second station and so on.

When the automatic scanning procedure has finished, the VCR switches automatically to programme 1.

The number of stations automatically stored by the VCR depends on the number of stations that it has found (reception conditions, etc).

7To exit the AUTO SET UP, press the MENU.

The time and date are set automatically from the broadcast signal. If the signal is weak or ghosting occurs, the time and date may not be set automatically. In this case, they should be set manually (see page 15).
