Using the TV/VCR’s Menu System

How to Use Your TV/VCR’s Menu System

You use the buttons on the remote to access the menu system and make changes to the settings.

The following pages explain how to use the different types of menus to adjust the features of your TV/VCR.

Menus

The first menu is called the MENU. Press MENU on the remote to bring up the MENU.

Menus take you to another menu or a control panel. To select a choice in a menu:

Press the up or down arrow button to select a menu item. Press the ENTER button to activate the selection.

Exiting a menu

To exit a menu:

Press MENU on the remote until the MENU screen disappears.

Setting the On/Off Timer

The ON/OFF TIMER menu lets you set a timer to automatically turn the TV/VCR on and off automatically.

Note: When you set the ON TIMER you must set the OFF TIMER as well or the TV/VCR will automatically turn off approximately one hour later after the TV/VCR has turned on.

To set the ON TIMER:

1.Press MENU to display the MENU.

2.Select TV SET-UP, then press ENTER.

3.Select ON/OFF TIMER, then press ENTER.

4.Select ON TIMER, then press ENTER to begin setting the timer.

5.Press the up or down arrow button to set the desired hour. Press ENTER to select the hour (the AM/PM setting will change as well).

6.Repeat step 4 to enter the desired minute, channel and day of the week.

7.Press the up or down arrow button to select the SET mode to set the ON TIMER, then press ENTER.

8.Press MENU until the MENU screen disappears.
