Chapter 7: Using the THINChome network feature

8 You can choose to protect your profile settings and to secure your e-mail from other TV user by activating PIN code protection for the account.

If you want to activate PIN code protection:

a)Press b to highlight Profile Lock field, then press C or c to select Abled.

b)Highlight Enter PIN Code field and press T.

Note: If the profile is being locked, E-mail Profile Unlock window will appear. You can unlock the account by entering the four-digit PIN set. Without the correct PIN, the account will not be accessible.

If you cannot remember your PIN code, while the E-mail Unlock Profile window is displayed, press recall four (4) times within five (5) seconds. The PIN code will be cleared and you can enter a new PIN code.

9 Highlight E-mail Account Setup field, and press T. The E-mail Account Setup window appears.

10 Highlight a particular field and press T. The pop-up software keyboard will appear as shown in step 6.

Note: The pop-up software keyboard will change based on the buttons that are available for the current item.

Using the pop-up software keyboard, enter the appropriate information in the fields.

POP3 User Name: this is e-mail account login

POP3 Password: password

SMTP Port Number: Uses to default if left blank

11 Highlight Test and press Tto confirm the e-mail account settings work correctly.

During testing, the TV will display the following message.

12 When testing is finished, a message will appear indicating whether the e-mail account test passed or not.

If the e-mail account test is successful:

13 Press T.

14 To exit the window and save your settings, highlight Done and press T.

To exit the window without saving your settings, highlight Cancel and press T.
