CHANGING THE DEFAULT SETTINGS

PREFERENCE SETUP OPTIONS:

TV TYPE

Use this to set the output video system (PAL/NTSC) to match the type of TV. The options are:

•Auto – No system conversion is performed. The output video system is the same as that encoded on the disc. Requires that you’re TV that supports multi-systems.

•PAL – When playing PAL-encoded discs, no system conversion is performed. NTSC encoded contents are converted to PAL output.

•NTSC (default) – When playing NTSC-encoded discs, no system conversion is performed. PAL encoded contents are converted to NTSC output.

PBC - Play Back Control

Use this to enable/disable the play back control by disc contents. The options are:

•On (default) – If the disc contains Play Back Control, follow the disc instructions.

•Off – Play back the contents by sequence.

AUDIO

Use this to set the preferred audio language of the sound output from the speakers.

ENGLISH (default) - Select if you want the sound in English.

FRENCH - Select if you want the sound in French.

SPANISH - Select if you want the sound in Spanish.

GERMAN - Select if you want the sound in German.

JAPANESE - Select if you want the sound in Japanese.

OTHERS - Use the numbers to input a language selection.

(Some disks require these settings to be made in their own SETUP menu.)

SUBTITLE

Use this to set the preferred subtitle language of the subtitles displayed on the TV. If a subtitle of the selected language is available, it will be displayed. When “Auto” is selected, the subtitle display is decided by the disc.

ENGLISH - Select if you want the subtitles in English.

FRENCH - Select if you want the subtitles in French.

SPANISH - Select if you want the subtitles in Spanish.

GERMAN - Select if you want the subtitles in German.

JAPANESE - Select if you want the subtitles in Japanese.

OTHERS - Use the numbers to input a language selection.

OFF (default) – Select if you do not want to display the subtitles.

(Some disks require these settings to be made in their own SETUP menu.)
