Options settings

Setting	Option	What it means
Parental Lock	–	See “Parental Lock” on page 50.
DVD Playback Mode	DVD-Audio	All material on a DVD-Audio disc is playable.
	DVD-Video	Only the DVD-Video part of a DVD-Audio disc is playable.
	2ch Area	Selects the 2 channel (strereo) SACD audio area of the disc
		for playback.
SACD Playback	Multi-ch Area	Selects the multi-channel SACD audio area of the disc for
		playback.
	CD Area	Selects the standard CD audio area of an SACD/CD hybrid
		disc for playback.
	Stereo	Downmixes DTS for 2 channel output to regular stereo. (See
		also “DTS Downmix” on page 52.)
DTS Downmix
		Downmixes DTS for 2 channel output to be compatible with
	Lt/Rt	Dolby Surround matrix decoders. (See also “DTS Downmix”
		on page 52.)
DivX VOD
(not North American	Display	Selects to display a DivX VOD registration code.

	2 Channel	The player outputs analog audio in stereo only. See also

Audio Output Mode
	5.1 Channel	The player outputs 5.1 channel analog audio. See also “Audio

Speaker Distance	–	Specify the distance of your speakers from your listening posi-
		tion. See also “Speaker Distance” on page 53.
Speaker Installation	–	Specify the number and size of speakers in your system. See
		also “Speaker Installation” on page 52.
