Alignment Procedures

With the exception of the Service Menu access codes, the general alignment procedures for the V23 chas- sis remains the same as previous HD chassis. A chart showing all recent Service Menu Access Codes is provided on page 12 of the Introduction. This chap- ter will give an overview of the following alignment procedures.

Convergence Adjustment Mode

Alignment Data Storage Locations

For specific alignments, refer to the Service Manual.

Initial Setup

Option Menu - Initial Setup

Prior to alignment, the procedures for initial setup should be followed so that all customer Main Menu and A/V settings are set to the factory defaults listed in Table 2-1and Table 2-2.

Follow the steps below for the initial set-up:

1)Select the "MENU" display by pressing the "MENU" button once.

2)Press the number buttons "0", "3", "7", "0" in sequence to select the "OPTION MENU" display. See Figure 2-1.

3)Press the "ADJUST" button to select "INI- TIAL."

4)Press "ENTER."

NOTE: At this time, all Main Menu and A/ V settings will be set to the factory default settings and channel 3 will be automatically selected.
