1)Connect a white cable from the LEFT AUDIO OUTPUT on the side of the TV to the LEFT AUDIO INPUT on the amplifier.

2)Connect a red cable from the RIGHT AUDIO OUTPUT on the side of the TV to the RIGHT AUDIO INPUT on the amplifier.

Notes:

Refer to your amplifier’s manual for more information.

You can use AUDIO OUTPUT for your home theater system.

You can not output audio using the AUDIO OUTPUT under the following conditions:

1)When you have digital sound from an HDMI device connected to the INPUT-1 or INPUT-2 connection on the side of your TV. (See page 21).

2)When you have analog sound from a DVI device connected to the AUDIO IN "INPUT-1" connection. (See page 20).

Connecting to an amplifier using your optical output

You can connect an amplifier that has an optical digital input terminal by using an optical digital cable from the optical output. The signal that is output can be PCM or DOLBY DIGITAL.

1)Connect the optical cable from the side of the TV to the back of the amplifier.

Notes:

This terminal can only output digital audio.

In order to use the optical output connection, select PCM or DOLBY DIGITAL on Digital Sound in the Digital Setup Menu. See page 50.
