Changing the Lamp
Important! The lamp contains a trace amount of mercury. Some governments require special disposal of lamps containing mercury. Dispose of lamps in accordance with the law and any applicable local regulations.
The lamp module should be replaced with a certified replacement part. To order a new lamp, contact your local dealer. After changing the lamp module you should reset the lamp hours in accordance with the lamp hour reset instructed hereafter.
WARNING:
When replacing the lamp be sure to turn off power and unplug the power cord. To avoid any burn, wait 45 minutes before opening the lamp module cover and do not touch any hot surface inside.
Do not loosen or remove any screws other than lamp module or its cover. Doing so many cause electric shock.
To replace the lamp module
1.Turn off the projector and let the unit cool down for at least 45 minutes.
2.Unplug the power cord from projector.
3.Turn the projector upside down. Loosen the screw with a phillips screwdriver. Remove the lamp cover by lifting it up and out..
4.Loosen the three screws on the lamp module bracket.
5.Gently lift and pull up on the two slotted indentation on the located on the lamp housing to remove the lamp module.
6.Carefully place the new lamp module into the projector with the glass portion facing left. Insert the lamp module securely and match two location ribs to the location holes on the inner engine case. Tighten the three screws.
7.Reinstall the lamp module cover and tighten the screw.
8.Turn on the projector.
9.Reset the lamp hours.
