LAN-DVR CONNECTION
You can connect your DVR to a local area network or to the internet. See the diagram below to make the LAN connection. For remote viewing from your computer, you must have a LAN connection or Internet access to use this feature.
Refer to Chapter 6 - NETWORK SETUP for information on how to set up the DVR for remote controlling.
Note: Suitable network routers and switches are available from Net gear, D Link, or Linksys. Your internet connection requires a dedicated static IP address from your DSL provider and port forwarding capability on your router.
