Timer recording (VIDEO Plus+® System)

This is a simple programming system for recorders. To use it, enter the PlusCode programming number associated with your television programme. You can find this number in your TV listings magazine.

All the information needed by the recorder for programming is contained in the programming number.

A Switch on the TV set. Select the correct Video In channel on the TV.

B Press TIMER on the remote control. The timer schedule appears.

C Press OK to confirm.

Alternatively, press T key to go to the next available empty slot and press OK.

The VIDEO Plus+® system menu appears.

To clear the PlusCode programming number, press CLEAR on the remote control.

To cancel the VIDEO Plus+® programming, use ST keys to select CANCEL in the menu and press OK.

E To confirm your entry, select CONFIRM in the menu and press OK.

The system will store the timer entry and return to the timer editor menu.

If the channel number of the TV channel has not been assigned to the programming number, you will have to manually key in the channel number that is assigned to the VIDEO Plus+® code. Follow the instructions on the TV.

F Press TIMER to exit the menu.

G Insert a DVD±R/±RW into the recorder.

H Press STANDBY-ONto switch the recorder to standby mode.

If the recorder is not in standby mode, a warning message will appear three minutes before the recording starts.

The TIMERicon will light up on the display panel if a timer recording is set.

Enter the PlusCode programming number for the show you wish to record or select CANCEL for manual timer recording. To go back to timer schedule press [RETURN].

D Use the numeric keypad 0-9 to enter the PlusCode programming number for the show you wish to record.

(e.g. : 5-312-4 or 5,312 4, key in ‘53124’).

TIPS:

Ensure that there is enough space on the DVD±R/±RW before recording. Before you playback the DVD±R

 

on another player, finalise the disc. See “Playing your recordings (DVD±R) on other DVD players”.
