Placing the Batteries

When you use Pronto for the first time, you will have to place 4 AAA batteries. You can use rechargeable or non-rechargeable AAA batteries.

1Press the latch on the battery cover with your thumb and then slide the cover forward firmly.

2Lift up the battery cover.

3Place the batteries in the battery compartment.

4Slide the battery cover back on.

After a few seconds, the Pronto NG starts up automatically and an introduction screen appears. The Pronto NG beeps twice to indicate that it has finished starting up.

Notes When the batteries are running low, the Low Battery icon appears over the battery icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

Pronto NG retains all its settings when the batteries have run out. You will only have to set the contrast and the time. See ‘Setting the Contrast’ on page 11 and ‘Changing the Time’ on page 12 for more information.

You can also use a docking station and a battery pack to recharge your Pronto NG. The docking station and the battery pack are optional.
