Adjusting the Settings

In the Settings Pages you can adjust several settings. You can:

Set the time and date as described earlier, on page 12;

Set the timeout of the LCD backlight;

Set the timeout of the LCD screen;

Set the level of the light sensor;

Set the volume level;

Set the language of the Pronto NG, as described earlier, on page 14;

Set Pronto NG to operate with the Cursor;

Set the animation mode;

Calibrate the touch screen.

In the third Settings Page you can consult the version information and the available memory.

1Tap and hold the Pronto NG icon in the upper left corner of the touch screen for 3 seconds. The Tools Menu appears.

The first Settings Page appears.

Setting the Timeout of the LCD Backlight

The timeout of the LCD backlight determines how long the backlight of the touch screen and the buttons stays active. Shortening the active time will increase Pronto’s battery life. The backlight timeout and the LCD screen timeout can work independently.

1Tap in the first Settings Page.

The Backlight Timeout button is selected. The ‘+’ and - labels appear on the two middle hard buttons below the touch screen.
