SYSTEM AUDIO OUTPUTS
T he DPTV's System Audio
Output jacks can be used for
sound playback through an
external audio amplifier or Dolby
Pro Logic receiver.
BEGIN
1Connect the R(ight) and L(eft) SYSTEM AUDIO OUT jacks on
the DPTV to the R and L Audio
Input jacks on your amplifier or
sound system.
2Turn DPTV ON and place the external amplifier system to the AUX INPUT mode (if applicable).
Note: Dependent upon the audio
information received the DPTV
outputs a straight two channel
Left/Right stereo audio signal for
output.

Note: To eliminate sound
playback through the DPTV
cabinet speakers when using an
external amplifier audio connection
you can either:

The System Audio Out(put) jacks send the DPTV’s current audio (ATSC, NTSC, or Monitor) to an external amplifier for output. The advantage of such an additional System Audio Out connection (as shown in this diagram) is that it could continue to route the supplied audio signals from the DPTV to an external amplifier or Pro Logic Receiver (even when the selected program source switches between a digital ATSC program, NTSC, or Monitor supplied source). In the case of digital multichannel audio the DPTV downmixes the audio output to a straight
Note: For best audio reproduction and playback of Dolby Digital surround sound through a Pro Logic Receiver (when using the System Audio Out jacks):
•place the REAR SPEAKER DELAY control (located in the DPTV’s ATSC Speakers Menu) to the maximum 13 feet/4 meters setting
•place the Center Channel Delay control (located in the DPTV’s ATSC Speakers Menu) to the “Center Back” position.
