is connected to the ZONE II IR Input jack, this button will raise or lower the volume in the remote room.

7INPUT Selectors

When the LR-8500 is off, press one of these buttons to select a specific input and turn the unit on. When the unit is already in use, pressing one of these buttons will change the input.

8MUTE

When used in the room where the LR-8500 is located, press this button to temporarily silence the unit. When it is used in a remote room with a sensor that is con- nected to the ZONE II IR Input jack, this button will temporarily silence the feed to the remote room only. Press the button again to return to the previous vol- ume level.

9TUN-M

Switches from tuning to (manual or auto) tuning mode.

NOTES:

The ZONE II remote may be used in either the same room where the LR-8500 is located, or it may be used in a sepa- rate room with an optional infrared sensor that is con- nected to the LR-8500's ZONE II IR Input jack. When it is used in the same room as the LR-8500, it will control the functions of the LR-8500 or any compatible LUXMAN products in that room. When it is used in a separate room via a sensor connected to the ZONE II IR Input jack, the button for Power, Input Source, Volume and Mute will control the source and volume for the second zone, as connected to the ZONE II Audio Output jacks. (See page 30 for complete information on using the ZONE II sys- tem.)

2Select a source by pressing the SOURCE (5/b) button repeatedly.

3Press DIGITAL button and press the 5orb button repeatedly to select one of the digital inputs or the ana- log input for any source.

1.Press the MENU button on the front panel.

2.Each time the SELECT(5orb) button is pressed until "DIGITAL INPUT" displayed on the front panel.

3.Press the ENTER button.

4.Each time the SELECT(5orb) button is pressed to select you desired input.

4Play the source, and gradually turn up the volume to the required level with the VOLUME control.
