About Flash Ready LED

Steady

The camera is capturing a video clip or storing a picture or a video clip.

Blinking

The flash is recharging, or LCD is auto powered off.

Note: Do not power the camera off or change camera mode while the camera is capturing or storing a picture or a video clip. Otherwise, the picture or video clip may become corrupted.

1.Set the camera to ( ) Camera Mode.

2.Frame the subject in the LCD. (fig.1.1)

3.Press the shutter button half-way to activate the auto-focus lock until the green AF LED stops blinking and the AF frame turns green. (fig.1.2)

• The camera will automatically determine the right focus, and a rapid click sound can be heard.

Note: For more information on Focus Lock, please go to p. 11. To change AF mode, please refer to p.24.

4.Press the shutter button fully to capture the image. (fig.1.3)

When the image has been captured, the Flash Ready LED next to the viewfinder will blink to indicate that the image is being stored.

A preview of the image will be displayed on the LCD for 1 second. To change the preview interval, please refer to p.42.

The picture counter number displayed in the LCD will be updated.

5.If you are not satisfied with the image, you may simply press ( ) button to delete the image before it is saved. For details, please refer to p.30.
