Caution

If you take a picture while looking through the viewfinder

 

when the focus mode is set on Macro and Super Macro, the

 

range of the resulting picture will differ from what was seen

 

in the viewfinder.

 

Be sure to check the image on the LCD monitor.

 

 

Manual Focus

When the mode is set to , the central portion of the picture is enlarged to full screen on the LCD monitor for focus adjust- ment. Use the four-way controller to adjust the focus while watching the indicator on the monitor.

The flash discharges a total of 3 times, 2 pre-flashes and the third time to take the picture. (In the red-eye reduction modes, the interval between the pre-flashes and the main flash is longer.)

There are no pre-flashes when the focus mode is set to [Macro]. (When used in combination with the red-eye reduc- tion mode, the flash discharges for one pre-flash.)

zPress the button in Capture mode.

The flash mode changes each time the button is pressed and the icon is displayed on the LCD monitor.

The camera is ready to take the picture in the set flash mode.

Caution Using the flash in Macro mode may cause the image to be overexposed.
