Changing the Sound Settings

You can change the volume of the start-up sound, shutter sound and button sounds. You can also change the type of each sound.

Changing the volume

zSelect [Sound] on the [ Set-up] menu.

Formatting a SD Memory Card/MultiMediaCard and the Built-in memory

x Press the four-way controller ( ).

Formatting will delete all the data on the SD Memory Card/ MultiMediaCard if you are using a card, and all the data in the Built-in memory if there is no card inserted.

Caution • Do not remove the SD Memory Card/MultiMediaCard while the card is being formatted. The card may be dam- aged and become unusable.

The Sound screen will be displayed.

cSelect [Volume] with the four-way controller ( ).

v Use the four-way controller ( ) to change the volume.

bPress the OK button twice.

c Press the four-way controller ( ) to select [Start-up Sound] and choose [1], [2], [3] or [Off] with the four-way

Formatting will start. When formatting is completed, the camera is ready to capture images.
