P-520, P-520 specifications

The First Alert P-520 is a powerful tool designed to enhance fire safety and ensure user protection in residential and commercial settings. This advanced smoke and carbon monoxide detector combines innovative technologies with user-friendly features, making it an essential device for any environment concerned with safety.

One of the standout features of the P-520 is its dual-sensor technology. It utilizes both photoelectric and ionization sensing methods, providing comprehensive detection capabilities. The photoelectric sensor is particularly effective in detecting smoldering fires, which produce smoke before flames. In contrast, the ionization sensor excels at detecting fast-burning fires. This combination ensures that users are alerted to a variety of fire scenarios, enhancing overall safety.

Additionally, the First Alert P-520 is equipped with a carbon monoxide sensing capability. Carbon monoxide is an invisible, odorless gas produced by incomplete combustion, making it extremely dangerous. The P-520 monitors levels of carbon monoxide, offering an early warning to prevent potentially life-threatening situations.

The device features a loud 85-decibel alarm that can be heard throughout a home or business, ensuring that occupants are immediately notified in case of danger. An easy-to-read digital display provides real-time information about smoke and CO levels, making it clear when action needs to be taken.

Installation is straightforward thanks to the P-520’s battery backup feature. In case of a power outage, the unit continues to function, ensuring ongoing protection. The unit is also designed for easy maintenance, with a simple test and hush button that allows users to assess functionality quickly and silence false alarms without removing the batteries.

The P-520 is also designed for long-term reliability with a lifespan of up to 10 years. This longevity means that users can install the device and rely on it for a significant amount of time, minimizing the need for frequent replacements.

In summary, the First Alert P-520 is a robust smoke and carbon monoxide detector that employs dual-sensor technology, offers user-friendly features, and emphasizes reliability and effectiveness in fire safety. With its comprehensive detection capabilities, easy installation, and long lifespan, the P-520 is an outstanding choice for ensuring the safety and security of homes and businesses alike.
