Chapter 1

Attaching the Wrist Strap

1 Thread the short loop of the wrist strap through the wrist strap post.

2 Thread the long end of the wrist strap through the short loop. Pull until secure.

Loading the Batteries

AA lithium batteries, or equivalent, are included with your camera.*

To load the batteries:

Turn the camera off.

On the bottom of the camera, slide the

+-

battery door in the direction of the arrow,

then lift to open.

Insert the batteries as shown.

Close the battery door.

IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION

For acceptable battery life and to make sure your camera operates dependably, do not use alkaline batteries.

See page 81 for the types of batteries you can use in your camera.

NOTE: * Your camera may have been packaged with a KODAK Camera Dock. In that case, the AA batteries are replaced with the KODAK Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery Pack. For details on charging and loading the Battery Pack, see page 57.
