Copying Pictures and Videos

The Copy feature allows you to copy pictures and videos between a Picture Card and the camera’s internal memory. You can capture pictures and videos on a Picture Card, then copy and save your favorites into internal memory.

Or, you may wish to copy pictures and videos to a Picture Card for portability: for viewing on a different computer, or for printing at your local photo retailer.

Before You Copy

Before you copy files, make sure that:

µyou have a Picture Card inserted in the camera.

µthe camera’s picture storage location is set to the location you are copying from. See Choosing Internal Memory or Picture Card, page 14.

Copying Pictures

1Turn the Mode dial to Review and press the Menu button.

2Highlight the Copy menu , then press the Select button.

3Highlight the Copy option you wish to use:

PICTURE—copies the current picture or video from your selected storage location to the other location.

EXIT—returns you to the Copy screen.

ALL—copies all of the pictures and videos from your selected storage location to the other location.

4Press the Select button.

A progress bar monitors the copy process. For information on picture numbering after a copy, see page 86.
