To install the batteries, perform the following steps:
1.Place your thumb on the battery door.
2.Slide the battery door away from the camera.
3.Insert the batteries as indicated on the battery door and close the door.
Remove the batteries if the camera will not be used for an extended period of time. Doing so extends battery life and prevents camera damage from battery leaks or corrosion. If the batteries are removed from the camera for more than a few minutes, the camera’s date and time features are deleted and must be reset.
