Protect

Important files can be protected. A protected file cannot be erased by any of the camera’s delete functions. However, the formatting function (p. 71) will erase all files on a memory card whether pro- tected or not.

Use the up/down keys of the controller to highlight the protect option.

Press the right controller key to continue.

Use the up/down keys to highlight the media or unit option.

Press the right controller key to display the settings.

Use the up/down keys to highlight the new setting.

Press the right key or menu button to complete the selection.

The media option specifies the card on which the files are protected; SD for a SD Memory card or MultiMediaCard, and MS for a Memory Stick. The unit option specifies whether some (SELECT) or all (ALL ON) files are protected; The ALL OFF option cancels the protection on all files.
