Tape Counter Feature

The tape counter shows elapsed playback or recording time in hours, minutes and seconds. (The counter continues to count internally even while it is not being displayed.) This feature can be set and used in both VCR and Camera modes.

Using the Counter

1 Press the MENU button until appears.

Camera mode

1 Press the MENU button until appears.

2 Press the COUNTER button (B) to display the tape counter.

3 Press the REC START/STOP button to begin recording.

You can check the recording time with the tape counter.

Notes:

The counter reading may differ slightly from the actual time. This is especially noticeable when the tape has been rewound or fast forwarded a number of times, in which case there can be a difference of several seconds.

The tape counter feature will be cancelled if the power source is interrupted.

You can check the playback time with the tape counter.

To turn off the tape counter

Perform step 1 above, and press the COUNTER button.

To reset the counter to zero

During playback (or recording), perform steps 1 and 2 above, then press the RESET button at the point where you wish to reset the counter to zero. The counter will indicate 0:00.00.
