USING WIDE-FLASH ADAPTER -----------

The angle of illumination of the S8 -22 covers the picture angle of a 35 mm lens. When the wide-flash adapter stored in the flash head is set, it increases the angle of cover- age, allowing the S8-22 to be used with a 28mm lens. When the wide- flash adapter is used, the guide number is reduced to 18 (ISO 100 and meters) or 9 (ISO 25 and meters), and the shooting distance range for automatic operation changes. With the sliding move- ment of the wide-flash adapter, the distance scale changes accord- ingly.

Tilt the flash head to the 90° po- sition . Slide out the wide-flash adapter to cover the flash head. Turn the flash head to its original position.

Tilt the flash head to the 90° po- sition. Then, while pushing the wide-flash adapter lock button, slide the wide-flash adapter into the pocket. Turn the flash head to its original position.
