The MR-14EX'smounting foot is not securely mounted on the camera's hot shoe.

~Slide the mounting foot all the way into the hot shoe.(~p.13)

The camera'shot shoe contacts or the MR-14EX'scontacts are soiled.

~Clean the contacts. (~p.13)

Batteries have not been installed in the MR-14EX.

~Install batteries in the MR-14EX. (~p.10)

The batteries in the MR-14EX are exhausted.

~Install new batteries in the MR-14EX. (~p.1 0)

Flash exposure compensation has been set.

~Cancel the flash exposure compensation. (~p.32, 56)

C.Fn-5-1 has been set.
