Set the Power Switch to “ ”. If the DSC Lamp is not lit, press REFRESH for approx. 1 second to select “DSC”.

Deleting Images

Previously shot images can be deleted either one at a time or all at once.

2 Press the MENU Wheel in. The Menu Screen appears.

3 Rotate the MENU Wheel to select “DELETE” and press it. The DELETE Menu appears.

TO SELECT AN IMAGE BY BROWSING IMAGES STORED IN MEMORY

Before doing the following, perform steps 1 through 3 above.

4 Rotate the MENU Wheel to select “SELECT” and press it. The Delete Select Menu appears.

5 Rotate the MENU Wheel to move the frame to the desired image that you wish to delete and press it. An “ ” appears above the selected image.

Repeat this procedure for all images that you wish to delete.

In case of “SELECT”

Delete Execute Menu

6 Rotate the MENU Wheel upward to select “NEXT” and press it. The Delete Execute Menu appears.

7 Rotate the MENU Wheel to select “ENTER” and press it. After “ENTER” blinks, the selected images are deleted and the Menu Screen reappears. Press the MENU Wheel in again to close the Menu Screen.

To cancel deletion, rotate the MENU Wheel to select

“CANCEL” and press it twice. The Menu Screen closes.

TO DELETE ALL IMAGES

Before doing the following, perform steps 1 through 3 above.

4 Rotate the MENU Wheel to select “ALL” and press it. The Delete Excute Menu appears.

5 Rotate the MENU Wheel to select “ENTER” and press it. After “ENTER” blinks, all the images are deleted and the Menu Screen reappears. Press the MENU Wheel in again to close the Menu Screen.

CAUTION:

While “ENTER” is selected on the Delete Execute Menu and it is blinking, switching off the camcorder or removing the power supply unit (battery pack or AC Adapter) may cause the camcorder’s built-in memory to become corrupt. Never remove the power supply unit at this stage.

To cancel deletion, rotate the MENU Wheel to select “CANCEL” and press it twice. The Menu Screen closes.

NOTES:

Before deleting some still images stored in memory, perform “Protecting Images” for the necessary ones ( pg. 32) or

save them on a PC so that you do not lose them accidentally (  pg. 34).

Protected images ( pg. 32) cannot be deleted with the above operation. To delete them, remove protection first.

If the remaining number of shots is not 30 in the FINE mode or 60 in the STANDARD mode when “ALL” is selected on

the DELETE Menu, initialize the camcorder’s memory (  pg. 57).
