Taking Pictures in Simple Mode

This mode allows beginners to take pictures easily. Only the basic functions appear in the menu to make operations simple.

∫Basic menu settings

1 Press [MENU/SET].

2 Press 3/4 to select the desired menu item and then press 1.

3 Press 3/4 to select the desired setting and then press [MENU/SET].

4 Press [MENU/SET] to close the menu.

•You can also press the shutter button halfway to close the menu.

ENLARGE Suitable for enlarging the pictures to be printed to 8qk10q size, letter size etc.

[BATTERY TYPE]

Change the battery type being used. (P21)

[BEEP]

OFF	No operation sound
LOW	Soft operation sound
HIGH	Loud operation sound

[CLOCK SET]

Change date and time. (P19)

•If [4qk6q/10k15cm] or [E-MAIL] are set in [PICT.MODE], the extended optical zoom is activated and the zoom ratio is extended to a maximum of

8.3k(DMC-LZ5)/7.5k(DMC-LZ4/ DMC-LZ3). (P30)

•The settings for [BATTERY TYPE], [BEEP] and [CLOCK SET] in simple mode are also applied to other recording modes.

•The settings for [MONITOR] (P21), [NO.RESET] (P22) and [LANGUAGE] (P23) in the [SETUP] menu are applied to simple mode.
