Adjusting Intelli-Q

Incorporated in the high-pass crossover, Intelli-Q maximizes the performance of a sub- woofer. The high-pass subsonic filter removes unwanted bass output from the woofer, increasing the output of a subwoofer by as much as 3 dB due to the increased mechanical power handling. Depending on the enclosure, using Intelli-Q can increase the low frequen- cy response by an additional 10dB! The type of enclosure used and the woofer's excursion capability determine acceptable boost levels. Listed below are recommended boost levels for different enclosure designs.

Adjusting Intelli-Bass

Intelli-Bass on the rear channels maximizes the performance of a subwoofer and allows for continuous adjustment of low frequency boost on the rear channels. Intelli-Bass can be adjusted from 0dB to 12dB of boost centered at 45Hz. Initially the Q is very low (wide). As Intelli-Bass is added, the Q rises (narrows). This allows the amplifier to overcome acoustic deficiencies in your vehicle. The type of enclosure used, the sub-woofer's excursion capabil- ity, personal preference, and attitude determine acceptable boost levels.
