4-CHANNEL AMPLIFIER INPUT CONFIGURATIONS

The 2-channel input / 4-channel input switch routes RCA input from the front RCA inputs to the rear section of the amplifier. This allows the XTREME 4-channel amplifier to utilize a single set of RCAs to feed signal to both the front and rear channels of the amplifier.

When the switch is in engaged, signal from the front RCA input is routed to the rear RCA inputs.

NOTE: In this configuration, the rear RCA inputs can be routed to another amplifier. The signal leaving the amplifier is a copy of the incoming signal.

When the switch is disengaged, front and rear RCA inputs are independent. This allows a source unit with an internal fader to fade between the front and rear outputs.

INTERNAL CROSSOVER CONFIGURATION

The XTREME 200 and 400.4 amplifiers use multi-position switches to determine their crossover configurations. The multi-position switch (dual switches on the XTREME 400.4) is located on the adjustment side of the amplifier. Listed below are the switch positions and their respective crossover configurations. NOTE: On 4-channel amplifiers, the front and rear crossover settings are independently adjusted.

When the switch is in the “OFF” position, the crossover section of the amplifier is bypassed. Amplifier output is full range.

When the switch is in the center position, the crossover is configured for high-pass operation.XTREME amplifiers have a fixed frequency crossover set to 100Hz at 12dB/octave.
