To tune a radio station using numeric keys :

Input the preset number of the desired station using the numeric keys on the remote. Examples

Preset No. 23 : +10, +10, 3

Preset No. 40 : +10, +10, +10, +10, 0

Receiving non-preset broadcast stations

A radio station can be tuned either by auto tuning or manual tuning according to the current reception condition.

(1)Press the 7STOP/TUNING MODE key on the main unit (or the AUTO/MANU key on the remote) to select "AUTO" or "MANUAL".

"AUTO" : Select this mode when the reception of radio stations is in a good condition.

"MANUAL" : Select this mode when the reception of radio stations is interfered with noise.

÷ Usually leave "AUTO" lit (auto tuning mode, stereo reception).

(2)While "AUTO" or "MANUAL" indicator is lit, press the 4 or ¢ key on the main unit (or the 1 TUNING DOWN or ¡ TUNING UP key on the remote) to receive the desired station.

Auto tuning :

Each press of the key tunes the next station automatically.

Manual tuning :

Press and hold the key until the next station is tuned.

"AUTO" is lit in auto tuning mode

"TUNED" is lit when a station is received

"STEREO" is lit when a stereo station is received

÷When the unit is in the STANDBY mode (page 71), simply pressing the TUNER FM/AM key (or the FM/AM key on the remote) turns the power ON and starts radio play. (One-touch operation)

÷During tuning, pressing and holding the 4 or ¢ key on the main unit (or the 1 TUNING DOWN or ¡ TUNING UP key on the remote) makes it possible to skip undesired stations that may be received before the target station.
