FlipScreen Owner’s Manual

What you don’t see about a Beyond Appliance, is that every night your appliance will request new recipe information from the Internet. It actually sends a message through the iCEBOX to the Beyond Information Network asking “Can I Please Get The Recipes I Want?”

If the recipes have been added to the Beyond Network (there are new rec- ipes added daily) then the recipes will be sent to your appliance. If the recipes you want are not available, Beyond will be informed that your spe- cific product recipes have been asked for.

Over time, the recipes your appliance knows will more and more closely reflect the foods that you like to prepare and eat. They really are smart appliances!

Automatic Nightly Updates

As long as your Connected Appliances are networked to your iCEBOX, your appliance recipes will be updated automatically, nightly, from the Beyond Appliance Recipe database. You don’t have to do anything, and you probably won’t even see that it is happening.

Manual Recipe Updates

If you would like, rather than waiting for the nightly update, or because your internet access settings prevent the nightly update from taking place, you can request an appliance recipe database update at any time from the My Kitchen Options Menu.

To manually update the recipe database, select Update Recipes from the My Kitchen Options Menu, then follow the instructions on the screen.
