SD/MMC mode

You can play files stored on an SD/MMC (Multi-Media Card / Secure Digital) using the Nashville DAB47. You can write data onto the SD/MMC that you want to use with the Nashville DAB47 with the help of a standard SD/MMC card reader and your PC.

Note:

Please note that when you prepare the SD/MMC, you must observe the direc- tory structure rules as described in the “MP3 mode” chapter.

In order to optimise the device’s access to the data on the SD/MMC, you should store no more than 20 directories and a maxi- mum of 200 files on an SD/MMC.

Inserting/removing SDs/MMCs

The SD/MMC slot is located on the left be- low the CD compartment. To insert/remove an MMC, you must first detach the control panel. To do so, please read the “Detachable control panel” chapter.

Inserting the SD/MMC

￿Detach the control panel.

￿Insert the SD/MMC with its labelled side uppermost and its contacts first into the SD/MMC slot until you feel the SD/MMC click into place.

￿Attach the control panel again.

Removing an SD/MMC

￿Detach the control panel.

￿Carefully push the SD/MMC into the de- vice until you feel a slight resistance.

The SD/MMC is now unlatched.

￿Carefully pull the SD/MMC out of the slot.

￿Attach the control panel again.

Switching to SD/MMC mode

￿Press the SRC button < repeatedly until “MMC” appears on the display.

Playback begins with the first track that the device detects.

You can display various types of informa- tion on the current track:

1.“NORMAL MODE”: First line: Track name Second line: Directory name

2.“INFO MODE”:

First line: Track name.

Second line: MP3-ID-TAG (if available and activated, see “Selecting MP3 info”) or directory name.

Note:

The system can display MP3-ID tags (version 1) if they have been saved with the MP3 files (for further information, please read the instructions that came with your PC’s MP3 software or burner software).

3.“MP3 BROWSE MODE”: First line: Directory name Second line: Track name.

You can use MP3 browse mode to find MP3 files on your CD quickly and con- veniently. The functions Fast search- ing, MIX, SCAN and REPEAT as well
