Auxiliary input display setting

You can set the display when switched the AUX source.

1Select the AUX source Press the [SRC] button. Select the “AUX” display.

2Enter the Function setting mode Press and hold the Control knob.

3Select the AUX name set item

Select the following items using the Control

knob. 

“Settings” > “AUX Name Set”

4Select the display connected as an AUX source and determine it

Turn the Control knob to select the Auxiliary input display, and then press the Control knob. Select “AUX”, “DVD”, “PORTABLE”, “GAME”, “VIDEO”, or “TV”.

5Exit the Function setting mode Press and hold the [  ] button.

Function of KDC-X496, KDC-452U, KMR-550U

Muting the audio upon reception of a phone call

The audio system automatically mutes when it receives an incoming call.

When a call comes in

“CALL” is displayed.

The audio system pauses.

Listening to the audio during a call

Press the [SRC] button.

The “CALL” display disappears and the audio system comes back ON.

When the call ends

Hang up the phone.

The “CALL” display disappears and the audio system comes back ON.

To use the TEL Mute feature, you need to hook up the MUTE wire to your telephone using a commercial telephone accessory. Refer to <Connecting wires to terminals> (page 12) in Quick start guide.

Initial settings

You can configure initial settings of this unit.

1Select the Standby Press the [SRC] button. Select the “STANDBY” display.

2Enter the Function setting mode Press and hold the Control knob.

3Select the Initial settings item

Turn the Control knob to select “Initial Settings”, and then press the Control knob.

4Select a desired Initial setting item

Turn the Control knob to select an Initial setting item, and then press the Control knob.
