1POWER PRESS (ON-OFF) BUTTON ()

Press this button in the center of the AUDIO ADJUST control to turn the unit on or off. If the panel is in the lowered position when the ig- nition switch is turned off, or if the POWER button is pressed, the panel will automati- cally rise to the closed position and the unit will then turn off.

2AUDIO ADJUST (LEVEL) CONTROL

To increase the volume level, turn the AUDIO ADJUST knob clockwise (CW). The volume level will be shown on the display panel from a minimum of 00 to a maximum of 32. To decrease the volume level, turn the knob coun- terclockwise (CCW). The display will auto- matically return to the normal indication 5 sec-

onds after the last volume adjustment or when another function is activated. This con- trol is also used in conjunction with the Se- lect (SEL) control button 3 to adjust the bass, treble, balance and fader levels as described in 4, 5, 6 and 7.

3SELECT (SEL) CONTROL BUTTON

This button is used to select the audio function (volume, bass, treble, balance or fade) whose setting is adjusted using the AUDIO ADJUST control 2. Pressing the SEL button once will set the unit for bass adjustment (BAS will appear on the display panel). Pressing the button additional times will select treble adjustment (TRE on the display), balance (BAL), fader (FAd) and
