Wireless modem setup

• INSTALL THE MODEM

Important: You must follow the DKU-5 installation instructions found in the DKU-5 sales package prior to completing the following steps.

1 Connect the DKU-5 data cable to an available USB port on your computer.

2 Connect the DKU-5 cable to your Nokia phone.

Your phone displays a message indicating you have connected the data cable successfully, then returns to the Start screen.

3From the Windows Control Panel, double click the Modems (98/ME) or Phone and Modem Options (2000/XP) icon.

4Click Add.

For Windows 2000/XP users, click the Modems tab, then click Add.

5Select the Do not detect my modem... option, then click Next.

6Click Other if asked about a PCMCIA modem, then click Next. This screen may not appear on all systems.

7Insert the floppy diskette containing the .inf file in your drive now.

8Click the Have Disk button.

Confirm that A:\ is the location of the nmpcdma1xrtt.inf file, then click OK.

9Select the correct modem for the type of data services you plan on using (for example, Nokia CDMA 1XRTT 3G Packet Data Modem for 3G packet data), then click Next.

10Select the COM port assigned to the DKU-5 cable, then click Next.

For DKU-5

The Wizard indicates it has located the correct software for your phone.

If you cannot remember the COM port assigned to the DKU-5 data cable during the installation process, refer to Windows Device Manager.

11Click Yes to continue the installation if Windows presents the Digital Signature Not Found message.

12Click Finish when Windows informs you that the device is installed successfully.
