Camera

Your Nokia 6680 device has two cameras, a high resolution camera on the back of the device, and a lower resolution camera on the front. Both can be used to take still pictures and video.

Open the camera lens cover on the back of the phone to

activate the back camera, or press in the standby mode to activate the front camera (the back camera is activated if the camera lens cover is already open).

Tip! Opening the camera lens cover deactivates the keypad lock. Closing the camera lens cover reactivates the keypad lock if it was on before opening the cover.

The Camera application starts when a camera is activated, and you can see the view to be captured. Press or to move between Image and Video views.

Use the camera lens cover to switch between the two cameras. With the camera lens cover open, the back camera is used. With the camera lens cover closed, the front camera is used; or select Options > Use front camera or Use back camera to switch between cameras.

In Camera, you can take pictures and record videos. The images and video clips are automatically saved in the Gallery. The cameras produce JPEG images, and video clips are recorded in the 3GPP file format with the 3GP file extension. You can also send images or a video in a multimedia message as an e-mail attachment or using a Bluetooth connection.

Tip! You can insert an image into a contact card. See ‘Save names and numbers’, p. 26.

Your Nokia 6680 device supports an image capture resolution of up to 1280 x 960 pixels using the back camera. The image resolution in these materials may appear different.
