4. Messages

You can send and receive messages to compatible devices that also subscribe

to a compatible message service.

Write messages

1.In standby mode, select Menu > Messages > Create message, and enter the message.

The number of available characters are shown on the top right of the display.

Tip: In standby mode,

press the left navigation key to quickly enter message editor screen.

2.Select Options to access other functions.

3.Select Options > Send, to enter the recipient’s phone number,

or Search to search it in contacts. Select OK.

You can also select Options

>Sending options > Send to many, or Send to list.

Note: When sending messages, your device may display Message sent. This is an indication that the message has been sent by your device to the message centre number programmed into your device. This is not an indication that the message has been received at the intended destination. For more details about messaging services, check with your service provider.

Read messages (Inbox)

When you receive text messages in standby mode, the number of new messages and the new message icon

( ) are shown on the display.

1.Select Show to display the messages.

To display the messages later, press Exit. When you want to read the message, select Menu > Messages > Inbox and the message you want to read.

2.Scroll up and down to browse through the message.

While reading the message, select Options for other functions.
