Short Text Messages

Cell Broadcasts

Cell broadcasts are network dependent, supplying general information sent to your phone by a network operator. The information can include topics such as local traffic and weather reports.

Setting Broadcast Topics

You need to specify the topic(s) of information to be received as broadcasts before you can receive them.

1From Idle mode press B 363 to enter the Topics menu

2When Insert is displayed in the main option area press B

3Use e to cycle through the available topics and press B to insert the selected topic into your broadcast list

Enabling/Disabling Broadcasts

From Idle mode press B 361 to enter the Receive menu and press B

Once enabled, follow the same procedure to disable broadcasts.

Message List

This is a store for the last received broadcast messages. Messages can be deleted from here.

Languages

This function is network dependent. The Languages in which broadcast messages are displayed can be changed.
