Using Phone Memory

Use your phone’s internal Phone Book to store up to 99 names and numbers for easy access.

In this section you will learn how to:

store names and numbers into the Phone Book

recall phone numbers from memory

clear names and numbers

dial a number with Speed Dial and Turbo Dial™

make notes on the scratchpad

Using Your Phone’s Built-in Phone Book

Each phone number in your phone book is stored in a memory location numbered 01-99.

Arrange numbers for easy recall by storing related numbers in groups. If you store the numbers you call most in locations

01-09, then you can use Turbo Dial® to call those numbers with a single key. (See “Using the Turbo Dial Function” on page 23 for details.)

You can also store names to identify phone numbers. Later, you can recall a number by the name that corresponds to it.

How to Store Phone Numbers

1Enter the phone number you want to store.

AYou can store up to 32 digits per phone number entry.

2Press åto begin storing.

The phone displays Location ÑÑ.

3Enter the two-digit memory location where you want the sequence stored.

or

Press to store the sequence in the first available location.

or

Enter the first digit of a memory location, then press to store the sequence in the first available location beginning with that digit.

4After you enter a location or press , the phone displays

Enter Name:.

Enter a name to identify the phone number. (See the following section for details on entering names.)

If you press Awithout entering a name, the phone stores the number without a corresponding name.

5If you entered a name, press Aor åwhen you are finished.

Your phone confirms your entry by displaying the information you stored.
