Selecting a Ring Style

Your phone lets you select any of nine different ring styles. After you choose a style, the phone plays a brief sample of the new style.

1Select Call Alert Ring Style.

2Press 1through 9to hear the different ring styles, or scroll through the ring styles. Ring Style 1 is the default setting.

3When you have scrolled to the ring style you want, press Ato select it.

Your phone displays Ring Style X Set.

4Press Eto exit, or scroll to other features.

Turning Ringer On and Off

Press Ato toggle the ringer on or off.

Turning Message Alert On and Off

Message alerts are the sounds your phone plays when you receive a text or voice mail message. By default, message alerts are turned on. If you want to be discreet, you can silence the audible alerts.

Press Ato toggle the message alert on or off.

Remember, this menu option is ALWAYS displayed under the Tone Control menu. The Ringer On/Off option is NOT displayed whenever the Pager Mode is set to On (under the Phone Options menu).

Turning Keypad Tones On and Off

Keypad tones are the sounds your phone plays when you press one of its keys. By default, keypad tones are turned on. If you want to be discreet, you can turn keypad tones off.

AThe other party still hears tones.

1Select Keypad Tone. You see Keypad Tone On or Keypad Tone Off.

2Press Ato toggle between Keypad Tone On and Keypad Tone Off.

3 Press Eto exit, or scroll to other features.

Turning Scratchpad Tones On and Off

Scratchpad tones are tones that your phone sends to access automated calling systems like Voice Mail. By default, scratchpad tones are turned on. If you don’t want the other party to hear these sounds when you use the scratchpad, turn the tones off.

1Select Scratchpad Tone. You see Scratchpad Tone On or Scratchpad Tone Off.

2Press Ato toggle between Scratchpad Tone On and

Scratchpad Tone Off.

3Press Eto exit, or scroll to other features.

AIf you have turned scratchpad tones off but want to access a tone-activated system like Voice Mail, place the call, enter the numbers you need to transmit, then press RSto send the tones.
