Text Messages (SMS)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your phone can receive and send text messages (Short Message Service, SMS). Your service provider will advise you concerning service availability and operation.

Reading New Messages

A new text message is indicated by the following icon 6:

[Menu]

To read the message:

[Menu] Events New Message

The display indicates the date and time at which the message was received.

QScroll to read the number and the message.

The end of the message is indicated by a mark.

When you have read the message you will be asked if you want to delete this message.You should delete messages regularly as the capacity of your SIM card is limited (see below).

QOnce you have read the message scroll to the next one.

=Press to dial a selected number in the text mes- sage (`08998765432_).

Options While Reading

You can access the following functions when reading a message:

Press.

Scroll to the required func-

 

tion and then:

[Select]

Press to execute a function.

Call active no.

Save active no.

Saves the number in your Phonebook.

Reply to sender

Sends a reply to the originator.

Edit Message

Edits the received message.

Can also be used to enter a new ad- dress.

Delete Message

9Flashes when the mes- sage memory is full. You cannot receive any more messages when the memory is full.

[Delete] Press to confirm the securi- ty prompt.
