Voice Mail

The service provider can provide you with an external answering machine (mailbox). Calls that you fail to answer because:

your telephone is switched off

you do not answer the call

you are on another call

can be forwarded to this mailbox. The caller can then leave you a voice mes- sage.

The following descriptions may vary somewhat depending on the service provider.

Configuring Voice Mail

Your network provider will supply a mailbox number as well as a number for call forwarding.

Configuring a Mailbox Number

This numbers is used in order to hear the voice mail you have received.

[Menu] Voice Mail Mailbox Number

[Set]

IEnter the Mailbox number.

[OK] Confirm.

On some SIM cards ￿is automati- cally assigned the mailbox number when the mailbox is set up.

If your SIM card does not have this function, you should assign ￿as the speed dial key for the mailbox (¼ p. 14).

Change Mailbox Number

[Menu] Voice Mail Mailbox Number

[Change]

BDelete old number.

IEnter the new number.

[OK] Confirm new number.

Divert to Mailbox

Unanswered calls are diverted to this Service Center number (Mailbox) for recording. This can be set as follows:

[Menu] Voice Mail Divert

[Check] Press. The current setting is checked (This option is only available once the SIM card has been inserted).

[Change] Switch on divert (if switched off).

The last divert number used is dis- played.

BPress to delete the number.

IEnter the new divert number.

[OK] Confirm.

Divert On appears after each call as a reminder.
