Receiving a barge call

When your phone receives a barge call, the “Barge” tone plays. You then hear the caller speaking through the speakerphone. The caller’s phone number will appear on the screen. If the caller’s number is saved in your PTT Contacts list or your phone’s contact list, the contact name appears on the screen.

1.Press and hold the PTT button as you speak.

2.Release the PTT button to let the other party speak.

3.To end the PTT call, press . If the other party ends the call, no action is required. “Call Ended” appears. The screen that was displayed when the call came in appears.

3.Press and release the PTT button.

The “PTT Outgoing Alert” tone sounds, and “Alerting” appears on the screen.

If the called party accepts the alert, “Listening” appears on the screen and you will hear the called party speaking.

If the called party chooses not to accept the call, or if the phone is unavailable to accept a PTT call, an “unavailable” message appears on your phone screen.

4.Speak while holding down the PTT button.

5.Release the PTT button when finished speaking. This allows the called party to reply.

6.Wait for the “Floor Available” tone, then press the PTT button again to speak.

Making an alert call

You can send an alert to any individual user with Verizon Wireless PTT service. The user may ignore or answer the alert.

Start at the home screen.

1.Press the PTT button, scroll through the list, and highlight the contact you want to call. -or-

Enter the phone number.

-or-

Select Menu Push to Talk. Scroll through the list to highlight the contact to call.

2.Highlight Alert at the bottom of the screen and

press . If you don’t see the Alert option,

press right to find it.

7.To end the PTT call, press . If the other party ends the call, no action is required.

“Call Ended” appears, then the phone returns to the home screen.

Receiving an alert call

When your phone receives an alert, the “PTT Alert” tone plays. The message “Incoming Alert” appears on the screen with the phone number or contact name of the caller. The PTT Alert tone repeats every 5 seconds until it is answered or ignored, or until 20 seconds have passed.

1.Answer or ignore the alert:

To answer and speak, press and hold the PTT button, then speak.
