Basic and Common Operations

Setting the Clock

Before operating the unit any further, first set the unit’s clock. When you plug in the power cord, “0:00” starts flashing on the display.

You can set the clock when the unit is either turned on or in standby mode.

To change the clock

Make sure the (timer) indicator and the timer mode

 

indicator (DAILY or REC) are not lit on the display.

 

• If they are lit, press and hold CLOCK/TIMER until they

 

go off.

Press CLOCK/TIMER repeatedly until the unit enters

 

the clock setting mode (the hour digits start flashing

On the remote control ONLY:

1 Press CLOCK/TIMER.

The hour digits start flashing on the display.

2 Press DISC UP or DISC DOWN to adjust the hour, then press CLOCK/TIMER.

The minute digits start flashing.

When you press and hold DISC UP

or DISC DOWN, the hour digit changes continuously.

Press and hold CLOCK/TIMER again so that the

To turn off the clock indication (power save mode)

On the remote control ONLY:

Press DISPLAY while the unit is in standby mode. DISPLAY “DISPLAY OFF” appears on the display and the

clock indication goes off.

To turn on the clock indication, press DISPLAY again

while the unit is in standby mode.

3 Press DISC UP or DISC DOWN to adjust the minute, then press

CLOCK/TIMER.

The built-in clock starts.

“DISPLAY ON” appears on the display.

When you unplug the power cord or if a power failure occurs The clock is reset to “0:00” right away. If this happens, set the clock again.

The clock may gain or lose 1 to 2 minutes per month If this happens, reset the clock.

To show the clock when the unit is turned on

On the remote control ONLY:

Press DISPLAY.

DISPLAY

The clock indication appears on the display.

To return to the normal display, press DISPLAY

again.
