If a menu is shown on the TV while playing a DVD Number buttons may be used for selecting an item in the menu. (See page 32.)
To select number 5, press 5. To select number 10, press 10.
To select number 20, press +10, then 10.
To select number 23, press +10, +10, then 3.

Changing the Disc to Play Back

While playing a disc, you can select and play back the disc.

To select a disc to play back

On the remote control:

Press the corresponding disc number button (DISC1 – DISC5) while holding down SHIFT.

and

On the front panel:

Press the corresponding disc number button (DISC1 – DISC5).

The disc on the selected disc tray is played back.

To exchange discs during playback of another disc

On the front panel ONLY:

1 Press 0 for the disc tray (DISC1 – DISC5) you want to load a disc onto.

Select the disc which is not playing or selected currently, to exchange the disc.

When you exchange the disc currently played back, playback stops.

2 Press the same 0 you have pressed in step 1.

Disc tray closes.

You can play back all loaded disc in sequence except when it is in Repeat Play. (See page 32.)

To play back the disc you have just loaded, press the corresponding disc number button.

If you press disc number button when the corresponding disc tray is open

The disc tray closes and playback starts if a disc is ready.

To go to another chapter

DVD

Press ¢ or 4 during playback.

¢: Skips to the beginning of the next or succeeding chapters.

4: Goes back to the beginning of the current or previous chapters.

If you cannot skip chapters

Some DVDs or some scenes on DVD will not accept this operation.

To go to a particular title or chapter directly

 

using the number buttons

DVD

On the remote control ONLY:

Pressing the number buttons before playback allows you to start playing with the title number you want.

Pressing the number buttons during playback allows you to start

playing with the chapter number of the currently playing title you want.

Ex.:

To go to another track

SVCD VCD CD

Press ¢ or 4 (or turn ¢ / 4 on the front panel) during playback.

¢: Skips to the beginning of the next or succeeding tracks.

4: Goes back to the beginning of the current or previous tracks.

While playing a SVCD or VCD with the PBC function

¢and 4 (or ¢ / 4 control on the front panel) may be used for moving another menu. (See page 32.)
