To increase the sound level for DVD playback

automatically

DVD

The DVD’s audio sound is sometimes recorded at a lower level than for other discs such as VCDs or CDs.

If you have adjusted the volume level for a DVD, the output sound may be unexpectedly loud when you start playing back a disc other than DVD.

To avoid this inconvenience, this unit is preset to increase the sound level for DVD playback automatically—the initial setting is “DVD LEVEL +.”

Once you have set this function, it is effective every time you play back a DVD.

This function does not affect any discs other than DVDs.

This function does not affect the audio output level through the OPTICAL DIGITAL OUTPUT terminal.

To turn on and off the function, press DVD LEVEL.

Each time you press the button, the setting alternates between “DVD LEVEL +” (on) and “DVD NORMAL” (off).
