This appliance is tagged in accordance with European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and E- lectronic Equipment - WEEE.

This directive contains the regulations governing the collection and recycling of decommissioned appliances throughout the European Union.

The symbol of the rubbish bin with a line through it on the appliance or its packaging indicates that the prod- uct must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its life cycle. The user is thus obliged to consign scrapped appliances to the special electronic and electrotechnical waste disposal centres, or return them to the dealer on purchase of a similar new appliance, on a one-to-one basis.

Consignment to the appropriate facility for environmentally responsible recycling, treatment and disposal helps to prevent any negative effects on the environment and health, and encourages the reuse and/or recy- cling of the appliance’s component materials.

Illegal dumping of the appliance by the user will be subject to prosecution under the relevant law.
