GPS Receiver Installation
To optimize performance of the GPS receiver, mount it in an area that has full exposure to the sky. The effective area of reception is 10° above the horizon.
Different circumstances determine the mounting method appropriate for your GPS receiver.

Follow these steps to stem mount the GPS receiver: |

| need to mount the antenna pole (stem), determine the best | Receiver | |
| location, preplan and test the cable routing to your Fishfinder | ||
| unit before any drilling or cutting of your boat surfaces, then | Base | |

| route the 20’ (6 m) cable to the desired mounting location. |

| Mark the location and drill a 3/4” (19 mm) hole for the cable |
| |
| and cable connector. If you have purchased hardware to stem |
| |
| mount your GPS receiver, follow the instructions included with | Antenna | |
